Marvel SNAP

Mobile Game

Details

Summary

Marvel SNAP is an award-winning mobile game that has a special place for me. It's the rare instance where I was already a fan before working on the game.

I was brought on to lead one of two UX/UI teams in feature development for the game. My team consisted of myself, three UX/UI designers, and had the support of a separate eight-person engineering team. Over my time on the project, my team took on seveal features from concept to full implementation. Our features focused on monetization and player retention; both of which we were quite successful at.

The "Albums" collection feature quickly became one of the highest monetized features, driving player conversion rates higher than they'd ever been. My team also implemented a "Custom Card" feature, allowing players to customize individual cards with earned and purchasable options. I personally served as an individual contributor (IC) on a massive "Character Mastery" feature; iterating and designing out the player retention feature for later implementation.

UI wireframes, UX flows, and information architecture layouts were created with Figma. UI art mockups were created in Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects, with interactive prototypes created in Figma. 3D modeling was in Blender. UI assets were implemented in Unity.
