Armored Warfare was the first AAA PC online game that Obsidian Entertainment had produced. It’s a free-to-play online multiplayer shooter using modern military tanks and fighting vehicles.
I was the first UX/UI person brought onto the project and concepted, prototyped, and implemented the entire UI pipeline for the game. I led the the UI strike team in the implementation and optimization of the UI before moving exclusively onto UI design and creation. Working closely with the Russian publisher, Mail.ru, I went through numerous iterations of UI designs, making changes based off user testing insights. Several UX tweaks needed to be made for specific international audiences as well.
Information architecture layouts and UX flows were created with Visio. UI mockups were created in Illustrator and Photoshop, with interactive prototypes created in Flash. UI assets were implemented in Flash and Scaleform.
